This release includes an update from USPS Web Tools to the new USPS API. Please note that USPS has implemented rate limiting of 60 requests per hour, which may impact some high-volume sites.
To help mitigate this, we recommend limiting USPS shipping options to 1–2 preferred services rather than enabling all available options. For example:
Set RTShipping.UspsApi.DomesticMailClasses
to:
USPS_GROUND_ADVANTAGE, PRIORITY_MAIL instead of all 7.
This approach helps reduce the number of API requests made during checkout.
We also recommend contacting USPS directly to request an increased rate limit. When submitting the request, please use the following values:
