Cloudflare PRO

The use of Cloudflare's Web Application Firewall (WAF) is a mandatory condition of hosting your site with Vortx. This 'WAF' is ideal for people that want to protect and accelerate their professional website.

A web application firewall (WAF) is a specific form of application firewall that filters, monitors, and blocks traffic to and from a website. It is a critical component in the war against cyber-attacks.
Onboarding to Cloudflare Pro requires you to log in to your DNS registry and create a zone file. Once you have done that, the Vortx team will onboard your website to the WAF and configure the firewall to serve your site to the fullest.

If you find that you're not comfortable with handling the DNS and the configuration, then we recommend that you use some of the time assigned to you when you subscribe to our service program to help you.

With the Cloudflare PRO plan, you do not have access to the WAF. Vortx will continue to monitor and adjust it as a managed service. If you need to ask for help/changes beyond our routine maintenance (eg if you need to make further DNS changes) then we charge for the additional support in 15 minute increments.
