The Connected Business Platform (CBP) gives Application
Programmers, Developers and Resellers a single platform to create,
customize and support the next generation of fully integrated “best of
breed” applications.
Like
pieces of a puzzle that come together to form an integrated whole, CBP
applications “Plug-in” together to collectively solve the unique needs
of each businesses.
To speed development and provide consistent business logic across all
CBP applications, the CBP is comprised of two components; the CBP
Framework, which provides the applications foundation; and the CBP API
kit, which includes thousands of business functions that can be shared
among all CBP applications.
The Connected Business Framework
The “CBP Framework” is the heart and soul of the CBP and handles many of
the non-business logic related functions such as plug-in management,
data connections, data concurrency, security settings, end user
customization options and more. Additionally the Framework includes a
large number of reusable components and functions all designed to ensure
a consistent user experience across all CBP applications.
The Connected Business API
If the “CBP Framework” is the heart and soul of the CBP then the “CBP
API” is its brains. The API includes thousands of business functions and
hundreds of reusable objects giving users consistent business logic
across all CBP applications. Business functions included in the API kit
include CRM, Customer, Vendor, Inventory, Banking, Reporting,
Calendaring, eMail, Accounting functions and more.
