What is Microsoft .NET Framework?
The Microsoft .NET Framework is a software component which can be added to the Microsoft Windows operating system. It provides a large body of pre-coded solutions to common program requirements, and manages the execution of programs written specifically for the framework. The .NET Framework is a key Microsoft offering, and is intended to be used by most new applications created for the Windows platform.

Windows Installer 3.1 or later is recommended.

IE 5.01 or later: You must also be running Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5.01 or later for all installations of the .NET Framework.

Where can I get the free download version?
To get the free download, go to www.msdn.com (Microsoft Homepage) and look for .NET Framework version 2.0. or click here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en.
Download and save the dotnetfx.exe setup file in C:\Program Files. It is recommended to save in this directory since this is where ALL programs are being installed and accessed.
Then double-click on the dotnetfx.exe for files to be extracted.
Check the box for accepting the Terms of the License Agreement.
Wait for the components to be completely installed.
- Click Finish when Setup is complete.
